We are a grassroots community group intent on building a network of trails in the Mahurangi area. Currently we are a small group but we aspire to being a big group. We dream of connecting our local communities; Snells Beach to Warkworth, to Sandspit, to Matakana, and beyond.
Building our membership is key to us achieving our aim. We hope to reach out to people who can assist us with expertise, materials or just plain hard work. We hope that everyone who helps can feel that they are part of something that will define our region. We want you to be part of us.
We are the Mahurangi Trail Society. We are a brand new society but a group of people that has been working together towards these goals for many years under the umbrella of the Snells Beach Ratepayers and Residents Association. You can read a little more about our history here
